A new paper co-authored by Saeed Naseri and Neil Judge has been published for the RockEng 2025 conference.  The paper, entitled “Laboratory Investigation of the Effect of Encapsulation on Dynamic Performance of D-Bolts”, is an outcome of the ongoing work being done at CanmetMINING to improve ground control practices and the reliability of rock support systems in underground mining environments. This study focuses on D-bolts, a type of resin-grouted dynamic rock bolt, comparing the performance of bolts completely encapsulated in resin to those only partially incapsulated in resin. Simulating scenarios where resin may not fully bond with the bolt is needed to understand the importance of resin quality, installation precision, and anchoring consistency.
